Tropicana Field has a fair amount of free street parking available within a five minute walk of the stadium. Drive around on the side streets for a few minutes and you should be able to find something.
The stadium itself was not as bad as everyone made it out to be. The air conditioning was a nice break from steamy Tampa, every seat was relatively good and the unbaseball related entertainment was kick ass.
Tropicana has a beautiful cigar bar located on the second floor and if you’re 21 or older definitely check out the Captain Morgan lounge in centerfield, you’ll have a great view of the game and of the sring ray tank below.
We heard so much about the Trop’s low white roof and how pop flies often hit off of it during the game. We saw this first hand and the roof’s cafe walk actually cost the Ray’s the game.
