The parking situation is pretty basic at Oakland. There is no chance you’ll be able to (or want to) street park so go with a lot. It’s fairly priced and much cheaper than having your car stolen.
The stadium itself is run down and is not designed for baseball enjoyment. The field of play is too far from the seats. But one benifit of having a team that is almost as bad as your stadium is the tickets are cheap.
Although John and I weren’t fans of the actual stadium the game experience was a very good time. The A’s organization is very innovative in coming up with ways to lure fans to the stadium. For families they offer $12 value deck seating with $6 worth of concession dollars embedded in the ticket barcode. The stadium has two BBQ pits below the foul poles in both right and left field. Perfect for a company outing and avaialble for private parties.
Kara (the jumbotron host) is wicked hot and we even got to appear on the screen with her during the 7th inning to discuss our trip.
The food was pretty a dismal. The “Ball Tip” sandwich was as unappatizing as its name and when we ordered the hot dog the sever disappeared into the back, resappeared a few minutes later telling us that the chef was having “lady issues” then when he finally emerged with the Chicago dog told us that as soon as he is off work he’s going to eat 4 dogs without the bun. TMI buddy! Sketchyness aside it was pretty good.
All in all we really wanted to give the A’s a good rating because they were so friendly to us but after seeing 20 stadiums it’s clear that the team (and it’s AMAZING fans) need an upgrade.

• Beyond the sketchy vendor the hot dog was good. Make sure you order the Chicago dog.
7th Inning Tradition
“Take Me Out To The Ballgame
“Ball Tip” Steak – $7.00
• 2 rating is very generous. This was pretty awful and the server didn’t even know how to explain to us what it was.
16oz Beer Prices
$4.99 for Domestic
• This is the cheapest stadium beer price we’ve seen.
Bathroom Line at Bottom of the 4th Inning
The rightfield protesters.
