Five Television Shows Your Girlfriend Watches That You Might Actually Enjoy

Men and Women tend to disagree on several things. Seat up verse seat down. SportsCenter verse Chelsea Lately. “Stop and ask for directions” verse “keep driving, we will get there when we get there.”

Some things never change but I have compiled a list of television shows that your girl probably watches that you might actually enjoy. “But what makes you an expert in television shows?” you might ask. Well, I did my research. I asked around town and interviewed women on their likes and dislikes. And then I sat down on my couch and watched the shows myself. And here’s what my research has yielded.

1.    Gossip Girl: Beside the fact that Blake Lively’s ass is so delicious looking in jeans, you want to take a bite out of it. Ass aside the show provides bitchy cat fights, drugs, and lots of sex. It’s like Sex and the City but with a younger, hotter cast and more argyle.

2.    The Girls Next Door: Who wouldn’t want to watch three gorgeous blonds frolic around the Playboy Mansion and pose for the magazine.  The girls are very funny and you get to see Hef be the pimp we all know he is… oh and did I mention Holly Madison?

3.    Keeping Up With The Kardashians: Taking into account, the reoccurring sex tape flashbacks, Kim Kardashian looks pretty good with her clothes on too. Kim, plus her hot mom and attractive sisters leads to hilarious arguments and needless drama that is always entertaining. We all need to see rich people go through the same problems we do like awkward dating situations, family feuds, and fighting tabloid rumors. Well maybe not everyone goes through the last one.

4.    Grey’s Anatomy: I know, you sit through this hour of drama anyway. But if you give the show a chance, it is really good. (At least The emergencies are overly dramatic, but it wouldn’t be good television if it was something you could watch on the Discovery Channel.

5.    Jon and Kate Plus Eight: This one caught me by surprise but seemed very popular. This show is about a man and women who are trying to raise their eight kids. The hilarity for this show is apparent when the wife treats the husband like the ninth child.

Honorable Mention: Gilmore Girls: “That’s not even on television anymore.” You say. Well, it is no longer in production but it does run on television. And, if you take the show off mute you might learn something. The writing is clever and witty, high brow most of the time but some of the obvious jokes will make you laugh. Plus, try and imagine all the mother-daughter fantasy scenarios you can come up.

Those are my five picks for enjoyable female television. So the next time you come home and your significant other is watching something and you ask “what the f*ck?” Don’t just dismiss it. Sit and watch a couple of minutes. You might find yourself enjoying what you’re watching. Plus, there’s always ESPN during the commercials.
