  • 8 Movie Freakouts That Would Make Nic Cage Proud [VIDEO]

Previously, we brought you a video that featured Nic Cage's funniest, craziest on-screen freakouts. It's safe to say that Mr. Cage owns the crown for Movie Freakout King. If any of his movies don't have a freakout scene, you can rest assured he'll come up with a way to turn a tense exchange into one for sh*ts and giggles. Freakout scenes are bittersweet - on one hand you admire the actor's ability for completely immersing himself in the role and the moment. On the other hand, you begin to question their own sanity. So, if Nic Cage basically owns all the best cinematic meltdowns, which others come close? Here's our list of potentials that Nic Cage would approve of. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • Photo Flashback: The 61st & 62nd Academy Awards [84 PHOTOS]

For those who watched the 83rd Annual Academy Awards Sunday night and were unimpressed, we'd like to take you back to the 61st and 62nd annual ceremonies thanks to the photography of Alan Light. Just about everybody enjoys taking a stroll down memory lane, and many times that jaunt can jog a fuzzy (and funny) sense of nostalgia. Back in '89-'90, Natalie Portman was 7-8 years old, Kirk Douglas was 72-73 years old (I'll let that sink in), Demi was still with Bruce, Tom Cruise wasn't worshipping aliens, and River Phoenix was alive. The 61st edition was notable for not having a host while Rain Man swept most of the major categories. The 62nd ceremony saw Billy Crystal MC while Driving Miss Daisy picked up the most wins. Enjoy these rare red carpet and behind the scenes pics after the jump!

  • 10 Movies You Never Thought Would Be Nominated For An Oscar

It's usually no big surprise when movies get nominated for the Oscars, actors or actresses maybe, but films? Usually the big contenders are ones that are either critically acclaimed, released in the fall or released in very limited markets. But every now and then the Academy will throw a rather odd nomination into the mix just to shake things up. They usually don't win, but it's interesting that they recognize them. Here are a few movies that have found their way into the Oscar nominations that are considered either bad, campy, cult or just plain not Oscar material. See the full list after the jump!

  • 25 of the Most Overrated Movies of All-Time

Ah, the overrated chant. If you've been to a major sporting event where an underdog upsets a favorite, you've probably heard it. But when it comes to movies, how does one know if a title is overrated? You don't have that chant when the credits come up, so how does one know? The reputation comes over time. As the hype wears off, one gains perspective on its actual merit. The movies on this list are excellent examples of when the bandwagon careens out of control. And just like any other list, we'd like to preface by saying that COED does not think these movies are bad, but that you might want to pump the brakes, slow your roll, and check yourself when evaluating them among the classics.
