Michigan vs. Ohio State is one of the greatest rivalries in college football. To find out why the Michigan faithful hate Ohio State so much, your favorite funny Wolverine hit up the tailgate before the game at the Big House. There are a slew of gems given by the guys and girls in Blue & Maize, which is impressive when you're hammering back Jack like you've lost the last seven* meetings. Usually I either speak in tongues or resort to humping when that blacked out. Sadly, this is the last installment of PwP for 2011. Check out the final haha after the jump.
Last week, we went 3-6. It was only a matter of time before we took a digger. Mizzou flashed their old Big 12 dominance in shutting down the Longhorns, Illinois and Iowa disappointed in the upset department, but at least our prognostication of a bajillion points scored in the K-State / A&M game came through. The Penn State game was interesting, lot of emotions flowing through Happy Valley - luckily they played probably the nicest contingency in college football in Nebraska. They're like the Anti-Canes of the NCAA. So, which games should you watch / bet on this week? Check out our suggestions along with pics of each team's cheerleaders after the jump
So, if it weren't for a pair of close losses, we would've gone 8-1, but thanks to Rutgers' kicker and South Florida falling short, we ended up 6-3. We called the 'Canes "upset" over Georgia Tech, and a last second hail mary toss fulfilled our prediction that the Spartans would stick it to the Beavers. So, what are the games to watch this week? Read on to see our picks and predictions along with galleries of each team's gorgeous cheerleaders after the jump.
It was another stellar week of predictions for us as we DOMINATED, going 8-1. Our only loss? Pickin' 'Zona over the Beavers. Oklahoma smoked the Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry, K-State continues to look good, Penn State held the Hawkeyes in check, Georgia topped the Rocky Top crew, Auburn got slashed by the Razorbacks, and the Huskers edged the Buckeyes. So, what are the games to watch this week? Read on to see our picks and predictions along with galleries of each team's gorgeous cheerleaders after the jump.
Last week, we pretty much killed it with our picks, going 6-2. Arkansas edged A&M by a lil' more than a field goal, K-State "upset" Baylor (we called it) in yet another barn burner for the Wildcats, Michigan State outlasted the Buckeyes, Clemson continued to kick ass, and both the Gators and Huskers got SMOKED in a pair of ranked letdowns. So, which games should you watch this weekend? Check out our picks and predictions along with galleries of gorgeous cheerleaders after the jump.
Other than maybe soccer hooligans across the pond, I don't think you'll find a more rabid fan base than football's. While there are some real fervent and passionate peeps supporting the NFL, we think college football might be just a tad more spirited. College football fans live, eat, breathe, and sh*t their alma mater's program. But which programs have the largest pool of undying patrons? Check out our rankings - starting with #20 and counting up to #1 - after the jump then vote the school you think deserves the crown in our poll at the bottom of the article.
Last week, we managed to come out above .500 with our picks, going 4-3. We doubted our dudes at ASU and for that, we're sorry. We were there, right in the thick of things. Like, ON the field. Yeah. The OK State - A&M game turned out be pretty awesome as did Clemson - FSU. Clemson's looking like a contender right now. One game we didn't feature that turned out to be legit was Kansas State - Miami. Could you imagine if there were no instant replay? Holy Lee Corso. Anyway, if you want to know which games to watch this weekend, we've got you covered. Check 'em out below and let us know who ya got in the comments section after the jump.
Last week, we went 4-1 with our predictions. Every game we suggested you watch was a f***ing CLASSIC. One game we didn't highlight that was pretty awesome was ASU vs. Mizzour. The Sun Devils' new uniforms were BOSS. Michigan's comeback against the Irish was also very choice. We were there, BTW. The Bulldogs had a chance to top Auburn but couldn't convert, and the Gamecocks and Dawgs went down to the wire. The only anticlimactic contest was 'Bama vs. PSU. Can't win 'em all. So, which games will make headlines this week? Check out our suggestions then let us know your thoughts in the comments after the jump.
As we mentioned in our post on the Texas Thong-horns, this past offseason has been marred by controversy and scandal, moreso than any other season. Even with the heated debate over student-ath-o-leets reaching a fevered pitch, we're going out on a limb and guaranteeing those distractions will disappear once the pads start clashing. There are a TON of games on the schedule, so if you're lazy and don't have the time to sift through it all, you're in luck - we've done all the heavy lifting for you. Check out the 20 must-see games on the docket after the jump.
Whether you're a Yankee fan or not you have to admit Nick Swisher is the man. His energy, charisma, philanthropy and love of the game are just what the Doctor Gooden ordered for baseball. However, those traits aren't just confined to the field and personal appearances, they carry over to world of Twitter and Facebook as well. Recently, NBC called him a "social media superstar" and if you've been following Swish on those platforms, you know the dude's always got something interesting to say or show. Read more about Swish and see his best twitpics after the jump!
Last week, Oklahoma and South Carolina got spanked and Stanford embarrassed Arizona. The LSU / Alabama game topped them all. We look ahead to this week's game featuring the Gamecocks vs. Florida, Miss State and Alabama, Ohio State vs. Penn State, A&M vs. Baylor, and K-State vs. Mizzou.
Over the years there have been games you just knew would go down in history. Doug Flutie's Hail Mary to lead Boston College past the Miami Hurricanes in '84. The infamous Stanford-Cal game that saw the Golden Bears win with the help of the Cardinal band in '82. So, which games in recent history will be remembered in another 30 years as the best of the era?
Fall is here and while the NFL gets most of the crap games out of the way early; they call it pre-season (watch at your risk), in college they do not do something neat like that. No, instead, most teams wait a few weeks before playing anyone of consequence. It’s like they have to wait for it to cool down some before they can actually play some real football! If you want to actually watch a competitive football game or two before the leaves start changing colors then read on.
