  Since ‘GIF’ Became The ‘Word Of The Year 2012′ Can People Finally Learn How It’s Pronounced?

  How to properly pronounce the term “GIF” has honestly been one of my biggest uphill battles since I started working online. Is it “Jiff” or “Giff?” Luckily, that particular fight was put to bed today as the Oxford English Dictionary (aka the definitive lexicon of the English language) chose the term “GIF” as their “Word of the Year 2012″ and chose to include the word’s correct pronunciation. Suck it, internet.
