MY COLLEGE KICKS ASS BECAUSE…

I love my college because I grew up in an SEC town, and I was always around for college game days. I got to experience all the fun at a young age, and when it was time to go to college, I wanted to be far enough away from home but at the same time close enough to come home if I had to. Southern Miss is exactly what I wanted. I feel like I know almost everyone in my classes, and I know everyone in my sorority. At Southern Miss, I feel like a person and not just another number.

THE MOST MEMORABLE THING I’VE DONE SINCE FRESHMAN YEAR IS…

My freshman year was just last year, so everything I’ve done has been very memorable. Every night was a different adventure. One of my favorites was when me and three of my best girl friends snuck into our guy friend’s dorm. All of our guy friends are on the baseball team at Southern Miss, and they all lived next to each other in the athletic dorm. One of our girlfriends is dating one of them, so we just kind of formed a group. We would have sleepovers when we could get past the RA, and all sleep in one of their dorm rooms. Some of the best memories and tears from laughing are in McCarty Hall.

I MAJOR IN…

My major is journalism broadcasting and my minor is in business. I want to be a sports broadcaster for ESPN. I would love to be the next Erin Andrews. 😉

OH YEAH, AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW THAT…

I think a lot of people who don’t know me always assume I’m a girl who gets around with lots of boys or is someone who always has a boyfriend, but I like to prove people wrong. I actually did not get my first kiss until the first semester of my freshman year of college, and I was 19 years old. I’ve never had a boyfriend, and I’m still a virgin. I’m very proud of all of that and love telling anyone who wants to know.

DESCRIBE YOUR LAST FRIDAY NIGHT.

Last Friday night, one of my friends was bartending for her first time, so me and some girlfriends went to support her!

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE MISS COED 2016?

I would like to be Miss COED 2016 because I think I’m a great role model for college students. I stand for what is right when everything is wrong in the world. (Or I at least try to). I’m not a typical girl who goes out drinking and sleeping with every guy she meets. I have responsibilities and I stick to them, along with making the grades I need.

IF YOU COULD GIVE OUR READERS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I don’t think there is one piece of advice that I could give that would just be the best piece of advice ever. I’ve learned a lot since starting college, and I’ve been given some of the best advice that pertains to all parts of life. However, right now the best piece of advice would be to focus on the present, not the past or the future. Don’t make plans; live everyday to the fullest.
