Paulina Gretzky’s 77 Sexiest Twitpics [PHOTOS]

There’s been a lot of buzz lately over Wayne Gretzky’s 22 year old daughter, Paulina, and for good reason: she’s a face-melter. Would you expect anything less from “The Great One”? The singer-actress-model has flown relatively under the radar until recently – one of her songs (“Collecting Dust”) was featured on MTV’s Laguna Beach and she had a minor role in 2007′s Alpha Dog. Why everyone’s just taking notice now is beyond my realm of comprehension but we’re hoping she pumps out more titillating twitpics like the ones in our gallery after the jump.

The 8 Lamest NHL Mascots [POLL]

The NHL season kicked off last night – October 6th – and with it comes the beginning of a new era for the NEW Winnipeg Jets, who relocated from Atlanta where they were the Thrashers. Winnipeg’s one of 5 teams that doesn’t have a mascot (Stars, Oilers, Rangers, Flyers). We understand the appeal of a mascot, you need to something to balance out the titillation from the Ice Girls and it has to be kid-friendly. Got it. But, that doesn’t mean they have to be super lame. Here’s our list of the 8 lamest mascots currently sucking it up in the NHL. Vote for the lamest in our poll after the jump.

  • Boston Kids Remixing Kesha = Fish in a Barrel

Boston Kids Remixing Kesha = Fish in a Barrel

Writing this post has been a serious exercise in self-control. Don’t understand why? Watch the video and then continue reading. I could talk about how one of the dudes in this video is never getting laid ever after people see this. I could talk about how these kids’ parents should go to jail for negligence (allowing these kids to ruin their lives) I could make a reference to the Hartford Whalers, but I won’t. I have chosen the higher path, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all.” On that note, watch the video after the jump!

  • The 6 Best & Worst NHL Video Games

The 6 Best & Worst NHL Video Games

For years and years, video game developers have been churning out awesome hockey games. EA Sports has been the most consistent, dropping their always incredible NHL series every year, and never seeming to disappoint. Other developers have made successful games, too, but some have tried and failed miserably. Since not everyone is a hockey enthusiast, I have catered this list to include not just the best games, but the best games that appeal to even the average gamer. We’ve also pinpointed the worst games… so developers can learn from their mistakes. Check out our list after the jump.

  • 11 NHL Cities That Have Never Kissed The Stanley Cup [POLL]

11 NHL Cities That Have Never Kissed The Stanley Cup [POLL]

The Western Conference Finals is history in the making, folks. Neither the San Jose Sharks nor Vancouver Canucks have EVER won the Stanley Cup. While the Canucks have never raised Lord Stanley’s hardware, the city of Vancouver has one Stanley Cup to its credit – the Vancouver Millionaires won it in 1915. While the NEW Ottawa Senators have never won the Stanley Cup, the city celebrated 11 Stanley Cups with the original Ottawa Senators in the 1920s. The Bay Area, on the other hand? Not so much. So, we decided to take a look at other cities that currently have a NHL franchise who’ve never touched the Cup. If you’re a fan of one of these teams, we salute your loyalty. Don’t forget to vote for the city you think will win its first Stanley Cup first at the bottom of the post.

  • 5 NHL Teams That Need New Uniforms [POLL]

5 NHL Teams That Need New Uniforms [POLL]

When it comes to the overall design of their jerseys, hockey beats all other major sports leagues: they have the ability to make sweet jerseys featuring cool logos, and mascots on the front instead of the standard and mundane team or city name or just a boring old number. While some of these teams take full advantage of that and have awesome uniforms – such as the Chicago Blackhawks or the Buffalo Sabres – some have made jerseys so unsightly, even a homeless guy would be embarrassed to wear it. So take a look at this list of 5 NHL teams in need of new uniforms after the jump!

The 9 Most Impressive Streaks In Sports History

In sports, there are many impressive feats worthy of recognition. Titles won, games won, yards accumulated, etc.  But perhaps the best accomplishments are those that required consistency over an extensive period of time. Those of us with every day jobs or other obligations can respect these feats, as we know how hard it can be to show up every day, let alone be productive. See our list of the most impressive streaks in sports history and vote for the one you think is most impressive after the jump!

  • 6 Athletes Who Deserve Their Own Biopic

6 Athletes Who Deserve Their Own Biopic

There have been reports Mark Wahlberg has stated he wants to turn “The Fighter” into a trilogy. Is this the next Rocky franchise? Most likely not, since this one’s based on actual events, but one wonders if Mickey Ward’s story warrants three feature length films? Prior to The Fighter’s release, his name rang few bells, but judging by its critical and box office success, one has to take a look around at other sports figures to see who’s ripe for the Hollywood treatment. In April 2009, Bleacher Report published their list of athletes who deserve celluloid dedications, now we have our list. See our selections after the jump!

  • NHL’s Most Badass Enforcers of All-Time

NHL’s Most Badass Enforcers of All-Time

Through the history of the NHL, there have been many so-called “goons” that specialize in protecting their team’s star players and possibly have little more value than their fighting ability.  That said, some of these players also have a decent overall skill set that is overshadowed by their pugnacity. With that in mind, here is our list of the NHL’s Most Badass Enforcers of All-Time.

Lil Wayne “Green & Yellow” vs. Wiz Khalifa’s “Black & Yellow” vs. EVERYONE ELSE [23 VIDEOS]

By now, you’ve probably heard Wiz Khalifa’s song “Black & Yellow” about 1 brahgrillion times. As with most anything that blows the eff up in pop culture, it usually gets the spoof or parody treatment. Since then, many more have stepped up to the plate with the most notable remix coming from Lil Wayne with “Green and Yellow”. So, we scoured za YouTube to collect the very best remixes to ask you guys which one is most legit. You know a song’s blown up when UPS and Black & Decker throw their hat into the ring. • Hockey’s Most Badass Goalie Masks [50 PICS]

Hockey’s Most Badass Goalie Masks [50 PICS]

The mask goalies wear in hockey have come a long way. Hard to believe there was a time when they’d raw dog it in the net. Those dudes had serious balls taking rock hard pucks to the dome. While the masks of yesteryear were primitive, they were also pretty scary. Even Jason Voorhees is like, “Take it off, dude. You’re buggin’ me out.” So, with the NHL All-Star Weekend approaching, we decided to take a look at the most kick-ass, bad-ass masks in the sport. Try not to wet yourself. See the pics after the jump!

Puck Him Up: The Greatest Hockey Fights Ever [VIDEO]

What’s the old joke, “I went to a boxing match and a hockey game broke out?” Casual hockey fans and die-hards alike can agree, the best thing about hockey is the fact that at any time two players (or entire teams) might drop gloves and just start beating the everloving crap out of each other, and the refs will let them do it! So get your copies of Slap Shot ready and check your false teeth. Here are some of the best hockey fights of all time.

  • COED Presents: The Worst Sportsman of the Year 2010 [VOTE]

COED Presents: The Worst Sportsman of the Year 2010 [VOTE]

Drew Brees was recently awarded Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated.  Brees not only won a Super Bowl against Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts last February, but has made significant contributions off the field as well.  Of course you tend to not hear about it since our sports news off the field typically focurs on DUIs or domestic abuse, a player’s displeasure with their current team, or better yet, where they are taking their “talents.” Brees is a breath of fresh air and we 100% fully endorse SI’s selection. To ensure we have MORE of him and LESS of the other jackasses, we’re doling out “awards” for the Worst Sportsmen of the Year.

Idiot’s Guide to the 2010-2011 NHL Season: Week 1

The first week of the NHL season has given us plenty, from big names returning to their former teams to big hits leading to infuriated teams. Nothing is more surprising then the Edmonton Oilers, who with two wins in their first three games, just might avoid finishing in last place this season.

NHL 2K11 Tour Wrap Party At Chelsea Piers

To celebrate the much anticipated launch of NHL2K11 available on Wii, the video game creators decided to go on a little road trip across North America. The tour kicked-off on July 17th in Calgary, worked it’s way through 12 major hockey cities, and wrapped up at Chelsea Piers in New York City with a bang. If you weren’t lucky enough to skip out on work for a few hours and make it out to the party, we’ve got you covered.

Interview with NHL Star Ryan Kesler

Earlier this week I went over to Chelsea Piers to have a pick-up hockey game and beers with NHL2K11 cover guy Ryan Kesler of the Vancouver Canucks. If you’re looking for an in-depth interview about the state of the NHL you’re in the wrong place. This interview was conducted on the fly and the questions were created on the spot.

  • The Greatest Hockey Goalie Fights EVER!

The Greatest Hockey Goalie Fights EVER!

You don’t have to be a hockey nut or even a sports fan to enjoy a crazy fight. What other major, nationally televised sport allows players to actually beat the crap out of each other? Goalie fighting, an especially rare treat, is even more outrageous, as the two players never come in contact during regular play. Whether its a legendary figure like Patrick Roy, or younger guys such as Ray Emery, goalies prove they can kick ass just as good as anyone out on the ice.
