We Crashed Steve Nash’s Showdown In Chinatown Soccer Match [29 PHOTOS]
On June 22nd, Steve Nash had his annual Showdown in Chinatown soccer match at the Sarah D. Roosevelt Park in NYC. Thanks to my friend Devin, who works at VitaminWater, we scored front row seats. The match brought out some of the top athletes on Earth together for a pick-up game of soccer in front of thousands of fans. Marcin Gortat, Brandon Jennings, Steve Nash, Grant Hill, Tony Parker, Giuseppe Rossi, Claudio Reyna and many other world class athletes participated. In the end Team Nash won 16-10 and New Jersey’s own (woop woop!) Giuseppe Rossi was crowned the Player of the Game. Check out the rosters and all the pics from the action after the jump.

34 Totally Awesome ’80s & ’90s Sports Posters [PHOTOS]
The Costacos Brothers shot and produced “fantasy” sports posters that gave pro athletes a larger-than-life look and appeal. Since they didn’t have a license from any of the leagues, they were unable to produce game action shots. Instead, they made personality posters that turned the players into comic book heroes and Hollywood action stars. To celebrate their new exhibit “For the Kids” at Salon 94 Freemans, we’ve gathered some of their best work along with other kitschy sports posters from the ’80s & ’90s and beyond. It’s no secret we’re big fans of the Dirka Dirka here at COED. He’s not THAT much of a common household name in the U.S. Seriously, stop 10 people on the street and ask them who Dirk is and be prepared to get some ridiculous answers. Sure, NBA fans know him but he’s no Michael Jordan. Not true in Germany. He’s a God over there. He’s on billboards, cereal boxes, and buses. You name it, he’s on it. So, it’s safe to say the Dirkness is basketball’s equivalent of The Hoff. Or, if you’re like the German dude in this video, he’s “The German Moses”. I still can’t get over last night’s Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. In case you were doing something else or are one of those “I don’t like the NBA because they don’t play defense,” type of people, you missed the game of the season. Dirk-a-Dirk-a flat out killed it again. Everyone on the court knows what Dirk’s gonna do when the ball’s in his hands: put his back to the basket, spin then fade jumper off one foot. Problem is he’s 7-f*cking feet tall. What makes him especially “boss” is he can drink his face off then go and drop 40 points twice in a row. We have the pics to prove it. Blake Griffin is having a ridiculous “rookie” season in the NBA (after missing last year with an injury) and he plans to showcase those talents on the national stage at this weekend’s All-Star game. The Western Conference Rookie of the Month for the past 3 months set a franchise record for most consecutive double-doubles, set a Clippers record for most points scored by a rookie, and is the first rookie to have two 40+ games in his rookie season since Allen Iverson. He can owe a great deal of his success to his pure, raw physical talents, namely his jumping abilities. Dude has ups. He’s got so much ups sometimes he misjudges how high he can get. How Did I Miss The “Like A Bosh” Craze?
This morning, I asked BroBible via their Facebook wall, “What’s the best thing you’ve seen all week?” A dude named Jeremy Chaput from Toronto responded with a link to this “Like a Bosh” video by The Basketball Jones. You might recognize the beat and rhythm – that’s because it’s a parody Slim Thug’s “Like a Boss”, which was also spoofed in the Saturday Night Live Digital Short called, “Like a Boss” featuring Seth Rogen and Andy Samberg, which you can view below. Somehow this “Like a Bosh” clip slipped under our radar. We’re sure a few of you have seen this before but we definitely think it’s worth another view.
