    This past weekend we went out to Las Vegas with seven other bloggers from the Elite 8 Round of Captain Morgan’s Bracketmaster Challenge for a wild weekend with the Captain and his Morganettes. Our mission was two fold: 1) Promote our Morganette Nicole so she can get to the Final Four and 2) Collect as many photos of people doing the Captain Morgan Pose to drive donations for the One Million Poses charity. Instead of doing cookie cutter interviews I decided to go rogue and see what type of situations I could get into with an all-access VIP pass to the gold carpet, taping of the show and after-party all courtesy of AXE Hair.     Daniel Tosh is the new Dave Chappelle. Okay, so maybe it’s not as cut and dry as that but Tosh’s ratings for Comedy Central are very Chappelle-like. He’s averaging more than 4 million viewers every Tuesday night (“Chappelle Show” averaged 3.1 million at its peak), he’s destroying Stewart and Colbert. He’s even beating South Park, which gets 3.7 million on average. His Comedy Central stand-up special, “Happy Thoughts”, had approximately 3.2M viewers, which is a new record for the cable net.

    Sam Bradford, the Rams first year quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Oklahoma, can add another achievement to his resume: NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Thanks to a season in which he almost lead the franchise to its first playoff berth in 6 seasons, Bradford solidified himself as a leader and viable weapon.     Last night we went out to dinner (and back to high school) with Blink-182‘s charismatic bassist and lead singer Mark Hoppus to talk about his new show “A Different Spin” debuting on Fuse this Thursday. It was supposed to be a business type dinner where Mark pushed his show and we ran home and wrote about it. But we’re COED so we made sure to get a little off topic during the meal — and we’re proud to say that after spending some quality time with Mark, we were more excited than ever to see him back in the spotlight.

    22-year-old Cuban defector Aroldis Chapman made his major league debut tonight for the Cincinnati Reds. If the first eight pitches of his career were any indication this kid could be the real deal. He blew away three Brewers batters in order and hit 102 MPH on the radar gun! The video highlights of his debut are unavailable on ESPN but we have it right here. Note: It is rumored that Chapman hit 105 MPH during a minor league game.
