Adam Sandler `80’s Stand Up [CLASSIC COMEDY OF THE DAY]

Back in the `80's, a young Adam Sandler had problems with his mom rubbing Vicks VaporRub on his chest when he was sick. There was always that awkward moment of eye contact. He was saying he wanted to have sex with his mother; he's just saying he could have - if he tried. This classic comedy clip captures Sandler, back in 1988, at a comedy club in Los Angeles. Earlier, you could clearly see the Sandler charm that would catapult him to stardom.

Steve Martin and Comedy Act For Dogs [CLASSIC COMEDY OF THE DAY]

Steve Martin was the first stand up comedian to play stadiums. Such a silly sense of perverse genius is embedded into Martin's early stand up. In this rare clip (from an appearance on the Tonight Show) Steve concocts a comedy act for dogs. The only problem; if you are human being, you just won't get the jokes. But if you are a canine - you'll be rolling on the floor in hysterics and barking with laughter.

Jay Leno’s First Appearance on the Tonight Show [CLASSIC COMEDY OF THE DAY]

Believe or not, there was once a time when Jay Leno was a respected and cutting-edge comedian; rather than a muddled, pander-monkey talk show host. I'm being serious. Leno was once the comedian that all other stand ups looked up to. He made his first his first stand-up appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson back in 1977.

Chris Rock and Drugs [CLASSIC COMEDY OF THE DAY]

Krispy Kremes? Cracky Cremes. Donuts so good - you'll suck a d*ck. This reference is from the classic Chris Rock bit on drugs. Rock comes to the conclusion that if drugs were made in America, they wouldn't be illegal. The government only wants you to get hooked on drugs that they are selling to you. Great point. This classic routine is from the 2004 stand up special: Chris Rock: Never Scared.

George Carlin, Baseball and Football [CLASSIC COMEDY OF THE DAY]

This George Carlin classic routine always cracks me up. Mr. Carlin makes sharp comparisons between the game of baseball and football. ("In baseball you have extra innings. In football you have sudden death.") What makes this great bit soar is the way he takes on the characteristics of each sport. Just remember: "Baseball begins in the spring, the season of new life. Football begins in the fall, when everything's dying."
