The Cleveland Cavaliers Ship Kyrie Irving To New Team

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics agreed on a trade to swap Kyrie Irving for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and the Brooklyn Nets first round pick.

Kyrie Irving is universally known as one of the best finishers in close quarters. Irving averaged 25 points and 5.8 assists per game. In the NBA Finals, he averaged 29.4 points and 4.4 assists per game. The former Cleveland Cavalier point guard now joins the Boston Celtics. The new starting five for the Boston Celtics will be:

Point Guard: Kyrie Irving
Shooting Guard: Gordon Hayward
Small Forward: Jaylen Brown
Power Forward: Al Horford
Center: Aron Baynes

Isaiah Thomas is also considered a major offensive threat. He averaged 28.9 points per game with 5.9 assists last year. The starting line up for the Cleveland Cavaliers would be:

Point Guard: Isaiah Thomas
Shooting Guard: JR Smith
Small Forward: LeBron James
Power Forward: Kevin Love
Center: Tristian Thompson

It is hard to declare who won this trade. Both teams gave and received assets to become contenders. The Boston Celtics now have a star studded line up. On the other hand, the Cleveland still have LeBron James
