While making the rounds for his new probable flop blockbuster film The Dark Tower, Matthew McConaughey, everyone’s “#1 actor I’d love to get drunk with”, was giving an interview just the same as he’s done thousands and thousands of times before. But this time would be different.
While on the red carpet for a premiere of his newest movie, McConaughey learned that his friend and co-star Sam Shepard had passed away. McConaughey had starred with Shepard in 2012 film Mud, one of the major films during the “McConaissance”.

Some people believe that McConaughey’s whole starry-eyed, go with the flow spiritual persona is an act, but you can tell here that the McConaughey we see giving speeches about the nature of life is truly who he is.
