Dwight Howard is on the move again, as The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to trade the problematic center to the Charrette Hornets.

Howard, who is headed to his fifth team, signed a three-year, $70.5 million deal the Hawks, his hometown team, in July of 2016.

While Howard, an eight-time All-Star, eight-time All-NBA team selection, five-time All-Defensive member, and three-time Defensive Player of the Year still has gas left in the tank, he hasn’t been able to find a permanent home ever since forcing his way out of Orlando in 2012.

This is the first trade made by new Atlanta Hawks GM Travis Schlenk, who is looking to clear salary cap space as the Hawks salary-cap space at the team rebuilds.

Howard signed a three-year, $70.5 million deal with his hometown Hawks last July. He averaged 13.5 points — his lowest average since his rookie season with the Orlando Magic in 2004-05 — and 12.7 rebounds per game in his lone season in Atlanta.

Howard, 31, returned to his hometown after three seasons in Houston, where he battled injuries and wasn’t the force he was earlier in his career with the Magic before his one-season stint with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Howard averaged 13.5 points, 12.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 74 games in one season with the Atlanta Hawks. Since being traded from the Orlando Magic to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2012, Howard as played for the Lakers, Rockets, Hawks, and now the Hornets.
