Former FBI director James Comey testified Thursday before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Comey detailed his accounts of conversations and interactions with President Donald Trump leading up to his firing of FBI Director on May 9.
Comey testified that the Trump administration “chose to defame me,” told “lies, plain and simple”. He also said he believes he was fired because of the Russia investigation.
Comey called Presdent Trump a ‘liar’ many times, but also revealed that he had asked a friend at Columbia University to leak the content of one of the memos he had written after a meeting with the President.
