The New Orleans Saints’ inaugural season in the NFL was in 1967, and from their very first season in the league, the Saints have always had some form of dance teams. But the current version of the Saints Cheerleaders that we all know and love was introduced during the 1987 season. Unsurprisingly, the Saints would enjoy their franchise’s first winning season and first playoff appearance with the Saintsations on the sidelines in 1987.

The Saintsations currently have 31 members on their squad, and they cheer the Saints on at home games at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. When they’re not pumping up The Big Easy crowd, they are participating in events in the community. Like most cheerleading squads in the NFL, the Saintsations also release a yearly swimsuit calendar, which might be the only thing in New Orleans more consistently awesome than Drew Brees.

Without further ado, check out the hottest photos of the Saintsations in the gallery below.
