The Old Lady heads to France as Juventus takes on Monaco in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final matchup.
Juventus, who have made the semis for the second time in three seasons, is looking to win their first Champions League title since 1996. Juventus, to the surprise of some, reached the semis by defeating Porto in the round of 16 and absolutely wiping the floor with Barcelona in the quarterfinals.
As for the upstart Monaco, they shocked both Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund to reach this stage, and are looking to reach the UCL final for the first time since 2004.
Juventus has a little extra motivation, as the only trophy that their legendary goalkeeper lacks is a Champions League trophy. While Monaco has scored a staggering 95 goals in 34 league games so far this season, they’ve yet to come up against a team as defensively sound and experienced as Juventus, as they have not conceded a goal for 531 minutes, the longest current run in the Champions League.
