Penn Treaty Charter School In Philadelphia Placed On Lockdown Amid Reports Of Nearby Gunman

The Penn Treaty Charter School in Fishtown has been locked down over concerns about a person with a gun in the area.

26th district Philadelphia police officers responded to school around 8:00 A.M. on Thursday.

The Philadelphia charter school, located om the 600 block of East Thompson Street, was placed on lockdown after a person with a gun was reported in the area of Montgomery Ave. and Moyer St.

The Penn Treaty Charter School is a grade 6-12 school in Fishtown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A part of the School District of Philadelphia, it was formerly Penn Treaty Junior High School and Penn Treaty Middle School.
