Emily Calandrelli is a 29-year-old science brainiac from Morgantown, West Virginia. After graduating from West Virginia University with bachelor degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, she furthered her education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Emily would then earn two Masters from MIT in Aeronautics and Astronautics and Technology and Policy.

Emily is putting her science knowledge to good use, as she’s a professional speaker, writer, author, producer, TV host, and field correspondent. Emily writes about the space industry for TechCrunch, and she recently authored a children’s book entitled Ada Lace, on the Case.

When it comes to television, Emily makes learning fun as a producer and host of Xploration Outer Space. As of this writing, the show has aired 43 episodes from 2014-2016, and Emily was nominated for an Emmy for her hosting skills.
