University of Maryland Gunman: Full Story & Must-See Details

The University of Maryland Police department report an armed male off-campus near Lakeland Road and Baltimore Ave. Authorities sent out an alert Tuesday afternoon.

What’s Happening?

UPDATE  4:20 P.M. – University police have given the all clear after their search for an armed man who robbed someone near campus in a McDonald’s parking lot across from student housing. Prince George’s County Police say the robbery took place in the 8300 block of Baltimore Avenue around 2:50 P.M. ET. Police are still investigating but say the man has left the area.

The UMD police have reported an armed male near campus. Officers are currently investigating.

Officials say the suspect is described as a male wearing a light grey hoodie, orange shorts, along with black and white shoes. He was last seen Tuesday afternoon near Lakeland Road and Baltimore Ave. Police advised locals to avoid the area and noted that additional information will be provided once it becomes available.
