The University of Tennessee at Martin is on lockdown after a report of a shooting near campus.
According to the alert, there is a report of shots fired on Mt. Pelia Road.

Martin Police Chief Don Teal said preliminary information indicates a fight started on campus and spilled into the street. Shots were fired during the altercation but no one was injured. Teal also said that it is believed that three people were involved in the conflict and one has been arrested.
The shooting happened near Hanning Lane, which is close to the University Center.
Police have arrested one person, however, they are still looking for one or two other suspects. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the shooting.

The University of Tennessee at Martin (UT Martin, or UTM), located in Martin, Tennessee, in the United States, is one of the five campuses of the University of Tennessee system. Prior to the acquisition of Lambuth University in Jackson by University of Memphis in 2011, UTM was the only public four-year university in West Tennessee outside of Memphis.
