Personally, I think it’s pretty lame that teams that win their conference tournaments still have to play in the First Four, but there’s no use in ranting and raving about it now. The first of four play-in games will take place this evening, with the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers (19-15) taking on the New Orleans Privateers (20-11). The winner of this game will face off against the Villanova Wildcats in the 1-seed/16-seed matchup in the East region.

Mount St. Mary’s punched their ticket to the big dance by winning the Northeast Conference Tournament. They earned a first round bye and the #1 seed by going 14-4 in conference play. After enjoying their bye, the Mountaineers defeated #7 Robert Morris 75-66 in the semifinals and #4 St. Francis 71-61 in the championship game.

New Orleans made it to the NCAA Tournament by winning the Southland Conference Tournament. New Orleans went 13-5 in conference play, earning a double bye and the #1 seed. The Privateers beat #5 Sam Houston State 75-63 in the semifinals and #2 Texas A&M Corpus Christi 68-65 (OT).

Now that you know what to expect in this matchup, let’s break down all of the different ways you can watch tonight’s game.
