All hell has broken loose in the 2017 Horizon League Tournament, as #10 Milwaukee will take on #4 Northern Kentucky in the championship game. There were only 10 teams in the Horizon League Tournament field, so Milwaukee finishing the job and punching their ticket to the NCAA Tournament would be one amazing Cinderella story.

The Panthers were the worst team in the Horizon League in the regular season, posting a dismal 4-14 record in conference play. But I guess nobody told them that they were supposed to be an easy out in the tournament. Milwaukee beat #7 Detroit 85-60 in the first round, #2 Valparaiso 43-41 in the quarterfinals, and #6 UIC 74-68 in the semifinals.

Northern Kentucky finished in a tie for 3rd place in the regular season, going 12-6 in conference play. To get to the championship game, the Norse beat #5 Wright State 82-77 in the quarterfinals and #9 Youngstown State 84-74 in the semifinals.

In the regular season, Milwaukee and Northern Kentucky split their two-game series. The Panthers beat Northern Kentucky at home 68-58, and the Norse got revenge with a 69-63 win back at their place. Milwaukee will be looking for their fifth ever NCAA Tournament appearance, while Northern Kentucky is trying to secure their first ever trip to March Madness.

Now that you know a little bit about the matchup, let’s breakdown all of the ways you can watch the Horizon League championship.
