Best Xbox One Games 2017: Top 5 Best Upcoming Xbox One Games

Best Xbox One Games

Xbox One gamers are in for some thrilling rides in 2017. Although there is no mainline Halo game planned, the series will deliver a game that fans have been clamoring for years in the form of the RTS Halo Wars 2. The action-packed open world shooter/platformer Crackdown 3 looks to tap into the cloud procession power of the console both online and off, and South Park: The Fractured But Whole promises to be a riotous extension of the legendary TV show. And even greater things loom on the horizon with the powered-up Project Scorpio hardware successor to the standard Xbox One and Xbox One S.

Here’s a look at the best Xbox games coming in 2017:

5. Prey

Publisher: Bethesda Softworks
Developers: Arkane Studios

Looking to fulfill the promise that the 2006 game didn’t quite live up to, this series reboot once again plops you on an alien-infested space station with only your wits and whatever weaponry you can scrounge up to save you and the human race from oblivion. Stunning visuals, a dazzling, Metroid-style open world and a wild array of futuristic weaponry look to make this one of the more unique shooters out there.

3. Halo Wars 2

Publisher: Playdead
Developer: Playdead
Release date: First Quarter

Since the studio that created the original game was closed, it looked like we would never see another entry in this RTS spinoff series. But Microsoft listened to and answered the adamant call from fans who demanded a follow up, and the fruits of those labors are finally on the way. The massive multiplayer battles should take full advantage of the system’s cloud processing connectivity, and a robust campaign will explore the depths of series lore.

2. Crackdown 3

Publisher: Ubisoft

Release date: First Quarter

Set free to reign destruction on a towering open world of skyscrapers, criminal strongholds and hyperpowered vehicles, this game looks to have you leaping, shooting and sprinting your way through a futuristic cops-and-thugs playground. Romping through a utopian near-future open world to seek and take down criminal overlords looks to be just as thrilling here as it was to play the original Xbox 360 games.

1. South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Publisher: Ubisoft
Developers: Ubisoft San Francisco
Release date: First Quarter

From TV to movies, Broadway and games, there is no entertainment medium that’s safe from the conquering of comedic geniuses Trey Parker and Matt Stone. If this RPG is as funny and entertaining as last-gen gem South Park: The stick of Truth, gamers are in for quite a treat. The new entry mocks the world of comic book superheroes and villains and the sprawling multimedia entertainment empires they have spawned. The game was delayed from a planned 2016 release to make sure the jokes and gameplay were as on point as possible.
