It’s possible that New York City has jaded me over the years, but if I gave money to every homeless person I saw on the street, I’d be on the street with them. That’s why we should all be thankful for people like Tatum Cabot. The sophomore at the University of Memphis is studying Occupational Therapy because she “loves helping people.” Ideally, she would like to work with children with special needs or down syndrome. In other words, this woman has a heart of gold, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.
Get to now more about Tatum below, and be sure to check back daily as we get to know each of our Miss COED 2017 semifinalists a bit better.
Name one thing on your bucket list.
One thing on my bucket list is to travel to Australia. I want to see the animals and nature there as well as hear the awesome accents. I also want to see giraffes because I am a giraffe fanatic!!
Cliché, but where do you see yourself in five years? Ready, set, go!
In five years, I see myself being an Occupational Therapist working with down syndrome, or kids with special needs. I want to have a concrete job before I get that ring. I want to be married by the time I am 25 and have kids by the age of 30. It seems like I have it planned out but it really depends on the guy and how mature he is and how well supported he is before we step foot into marriage. Of course this is the plan but I trust God with my future and look forward to it!
Who do you look up to the most and why?
I look up to my friend Jessica the most. Jessica is more than a friend, she is a sister. she has always been there for me and normally gives me the tough love and is not afraid to tell me the truth and how it is. While she is married and moved away now I still look up to her. I look up to her for her past life, what she has persevered and overcome, for how she treats others who have hurt her, her love for the Lord and her personality to do so, her laugh and vibrant attitude, and now her marriage and strength being away from family. I love Jessica (mills) Locke and I am forever thankful for her!
Give your BFF a shoutout! What’s his/her name and how long have you been besties?
I want to give a shoutout to my bestie, Maggie Cabot!!!! Better known as my mom!! We have known each other for quite a while. ;) She is always there to listen and have a laugh too. I love you mom, keep holding it down.
