For Chance The Rapper fans, Christmas has come early, as the Chicago rapper dropped Merry Christmas Lil Mama, a 9-track mixtape with Jeremih, in the early hours of Thursday, December 22. Comedian Hannibal Buress pops up on “All The Way”, and NoName appears on “The Tragedy.” Merry Christmas Lil Mama is Chance’s first project since Coloring Book and Jeremih’s first since Late Nights: Europe.

Maybe nobody in pop culture has had a better year than Chance The Rapper. He opened the year with his verse on Kanye West‘s “Ultralight Beam”, which many consider to be one of the best rap verses of the year. Then, in April, he dropped his third mixtape, Coloring Book. Over the summer, Chance headlined his own tour, the Magnificent Coloring World Tour. Finally, only a couple weeks ago, Chance made history– Coloring Book is one of the first streaming-only albums to receive Grammy consideration, as Chance racked up nominations in Best Rap Song, Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, Best Rap/Sung Performance, and Best Rap Performance.
