(No. 19) Auburn will get a rare meeting with (No. 7) Oklahoma in the 2017 Sugar Bowl on January 2 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orlean, Louisiana. This SEC-Big 12 matchup will feature two teams full of triumph and hardship experienced during the regular season. Oklahoma brings quarterback Baker Mayfield, running back Samaje Perine and wide receiver Dede Westbrook to form a lethal offense attack both on the ground and through the air. Auburn flashes a potent offense too, but wins games with a fearsome defense that stars pass rusher Carl Lawson. After tripping to a 1-2 start, the Tigers looked more like the preseason juggernaut many expected them to be late in the season.

Gus Malzahn will face off with Bob Stoops, as both coaches have been under scrutiny at different points of the year putting their job security in question.
