If someone asks about your BFF and you don’t launch into a ten minute speech about why they’re so awesome, they’re either A.) not your BFF, B.) you suck, or both A and B.
We all have that one person who’s seen us at our best…but mostly our worst, and for Olivia Pollock, that person Kaitlin Pressler. The 21-year-old at Pennsylvania College of Technology met Kaitlin when they randomly matched as roommates freshman year. Years later they’re still inseparable, and reading about their beautiful friendship will hit you right in the feels. In fact, I dare you to not shed a tear (or 12).
Enjoy! Oh, and be sure to check back daily as we get to know each of our Miss COED 2017 semifinalists a bit better.
If you could travel anywhere in the world for Spring Break, where would you go?
If I could travel anywhere for Spring Break, it would honestly just be home…weird right? Especially coming from a 21 year old girl! As much as I love the beach and being crazy with all of my friends, I enjoy being in good ole Warren County where my family and childhood friends are. Being home is an amazing feeling, and since I am a very family-orientated person, that’s where I want to be. But next year for my senior year, I would love to go to Cancun. 😊
Who do you look up to the most and why?
Hands down that would be my mom. To me, my mom is the strongest and most intelligent person I know. I strive everyday to be just like her. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be half the person I am today. She is not just my mom but she is my friend; I go to her about everything. No one knows me like she does. She has her Master’s degree, and I want to be just like her someday. I mean, she did raise six girls. 😏 I love my mom with everything in me.
Name one thing on your bucket list.
Definitely skydiving. I love the adrenaline rush that it will give me; I thrive on this type of stuff. I love heights. It’s always been a dream. I WILL do it.
Give your BFF a shoutout! What’s his/her name and how long have you been besties?
Oh jeez, this is pretty obvious. Kaitlin Pressler is my ultimate best friend. She and I met freshman year of college in the freshman dorms where we were assigned to be roommates. We have remained close and lived with one another ever since. I honestly don’t even know how I would survive college if it weren’t for her. She has seen me at my worst and my best and she has never judged. She’s the girl that will crawl into bed beside me and cheer me up when I’m crying, she knows how I hate chicken, but I love hot sauce with everything. When we are sad, we love going on drives together just blaring music that makes us happy. She even knows how to cook my eggs–dippy (now that’s a true friend). We are always asked when we go out if we are twins, and I believe God did make us this way and knew that someday she and I would cross paths with one another. We have an inseparable bond that I wouldn’t want with anyone else. Also, when one of us isn’t home, we look each other up on Find Friends (she does it more though 😘). So honestly, Kaitlin is my best friend. The matching heart tattoos we have mean the world to me. Wherever life takes us after college, just know you’ve earned the spot right next to me at my wedding someday. Thank you for being you, I love you.
