College Basketball Rankings & Standings: Top 25 Teams, Week 7

The seventh week of the college basketball season has quietly arrived, and the AP released their rankings for this week’s Top 25. There weren’t any teams that fell out of the Top 25 this week, but the Carolinas (North and South) were two of the notable teams that fell in the rankings down to numbers eight and 22 respectively. I don’t put too much stock into North Carolina’s loss to Kentucky on Saturday because Kentucky is one of the better teams in the country, and freshman guard Malik Monk played out of his mind and dropped 47 points on the Tarheels. Villanova comes into this week still at the top of the rankings, followed by UCLA, Kansas, Baylor, and Duke for a second consecutive week. Here’s how the rest of the Top 25 shaped out this week:
