Christmas time has finally arrived. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, no doubt about that. But it is also the busiest, most hectic, craziest of the year. Nevertheless, I am here to simplify all of your Christmas needs, so no need to fret too much.

In case you are overly swamped this holiday season or you’ve been running late on shopping since Thanksgiving ended, I have all of your must-have research done for you. You are welcome. You can thank me later, but for now, let’s take a look at what stores and banks are open this on cheerful holiday.


Are Banks Open On Christmas Day This Year?

Considering the fact that Christmas is one of the major federal holidays, no banks will be open for business this Christmas. However, the day before Christmas, Christmas Eve, you can surely head on down to your bank’s local branch, just make sure to call up your provider first for hours of operation. Holiday hours are limited!


What Stores Are Open Christmas Day?

Of course retailers understand the depth of Christmas and what it takes to truly be a spender. That is why certain stores are extending their hours, in the hopes of lending a helping hand for last minute purchases. Here is a list of stores that are willing to cater to your wallet:

  • J.C. Penney: closes at midnight until Christmas Eve: 7:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M.

  • Kmart: closes at midnight until Christmas Eve: 6:00 A.M.-10:00 P.M.

  • Toys ‘R Us: open 24/7 until Christmas Eve: 6:00 A.M.-10:00 P.M.

  • Macy’s: open 83 consecutive hours, closes at 6:00 P.M. December 24.

  • Sears: open until 11:00 P.M. up until Christmas Eve: 7:00 A.M.-7:00 P.M.

  • Target: closes at midnight until Christmas Eve.
