Texas Hot Air Balloon Crash: Full Story And Must-See Details

A large hot-air balloon carrying at least 16 people caught fire in flight and crashed in a central Texas pasture Saturday morning, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that there are no survivors.
The crash took place in Lockhart, Texas, about 30 miles from Austin. Authorities are currently investigating.
“Cecilia and I offer our deepest condolences for all those who have been affected by today’s heartbreaking tragedy,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott wrote in a statement issued soon after the news broke. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, as well as the Lockhart community. The investigation of the cause of this tragic accident will continue, and I ask all of Texas to join us in praying for those lost.”
