What Season Is Game Of Thrones On Right Now

HBO’s fantasy drama television series Game Of Thrones is currently in it’s 6th seasonGame Of Thrones season six premiered on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at 9 PM EST.  The sixth season of Game Of Thrones had one major difference from the previous 5: most of the story lines are original content from the shows writers, where as the first 5 season were largely based off of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novels, A Song Of Ice And Fire.

Game of Thrones adapted for television by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss for HBO. It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin’s series of fantasy novels, the first of which is titled A Game of Thrones.  After premiering on April 17, 2011, GoT has amassed a massive worldwide following, and is so far scheduled to run through 2018, which will be it’s 8th season.

GoT is set in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, on the continents of Westeros and Essos, and tells the story of the seemingly never ending battle for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms. It has gained a massive following since it first aired in 2011, and has been renowned for it’s large ensemble cast, intricate stories and characters, production value, and overall scope. It is by far the most successful show in the world right now.
