Although Fisher hasn’t had an All-Star caliber lineup during his tenure, Knicks fans will tell you that D-Fish hasn’t been getting the most out of his players this year. There have been plenty of moments where you could blame the coaches for doing a poor job. Just look at the fact that the Knicks are the worst in the league in scoring following timeouts.
That being said, Knicks fan fully expected Fisher to at least finish out the year now that a guy like Phil Jackson is sitting in the front office. This mid-season firing is what you’d expect from a garbage franchise. So of course now Twitter and Instagram users are dumping on Derek Fisher, the Knicks, and celebrating Matt Barnes.
