MSU Greek life had its annual safe Halloween this weekend and despite the less than ideal weather, the event was a success. Every year Greek life pulls together for a night before Halloween and shuts down M.A.C. (which is the closest thing to a Greek row on campus) to host a safe Halloween event with the greater East Lansing community.
The night consists of trick-or-treating, Halloween games, and crafts for kids in the surrounding neighborhoods. Many families attended with their children in costume and everyone had a good time despite the rain, several students even dressed in costume for the event. Some of East Lansing’s local businesses also participate and sponsor the event including the East Lansing fire department, which was a favorite of many children.
The safe Halloween event is a great opportunity for the Greek community to give back and provide a fun and safe place for kids to trick-or-treat and have Halloween fun on campus.
