WATCH: Florida’s ZBT Fraternity Cleared Of All Mistreatment Of Veterans

ZBT Fraternity

The University of Florida‘s ZBT fraternity has now been cleared by Laketown Wharf Hotel’s hotel security of any wrongdoing towards a group of US Armed Forces Veterans late last April. The head of security of the Panama City Beach hotel claims that not only was there zero evidence to prove that ZBT fraternity members had spat on veterans or urinated on the flag (things they had been accused of doing), she would gladly welcome the fraternity back to her hotel.

For the record, I would like to point out that many websites (including COED.com) and people were quick to judge the University of Florida’s Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. Although we still believe then as we do now in due process, it was impossible for us to ignore that our nation’s veterans could have been so greatly mistaken.

COED.com would like to take the time to apologize to ZBT fraternity members and Greek Life as a whole for perpetuating the idea that fraternities are bad. That is 100% not what we believe and as Greek Life members ourselves we strive to talk about the fun aspects of fraternities, but our opinions on this particular story were very strong.

UF ZBT

It remains to be seen whether or not the University of Florida will reopen the ZBT fraternity after the school claims it was shut down to “protect the brothers” from all the death threats they received. If you smell something funny coming from your computer screen, that’s because what you just read is bullsh*t.

We would also like to see how the Warrior Beach Retreat administration will respond, but we’re not holding our breath. Hopefully both groups can now make peace and move forward with their lives.
