NFLPA Looking To Get Adrian Peterson Back Into League ASAP

It has been a long season for Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson with the charges against him for beating his son with a “switch”. With Peterson pleading no contest last week to the charge, the NFL Players Association is now looking to get Peterson back on the field as soon as possible after sending a league to the NFL on Friday. There are going to be more discipline handed out to Peterson by Roger Goodell sooner than later and while the NFLPA would love it to be time served instead of another suspension, odds are Peterson won’t be playing soon. While he was on the exempt list during the time in the courts, that time is now over and Peterson’s punishment will be coming.
The players association may be on to something here though since the league did say Peterson would be taken off the exempt list right away which hasn’t happened yet. A grievance could be filed and Peterson may be playing next week for the Vikings. The next few days are going to be very important moving forward. Fans may be seeing Peterson this coming weekend or not again until 2015.
