Lebron James is like, mad skinny, yo. It’s honestly shocking. This is a man who thrives on both speed and physical play, so why he’s dropping pounds is very much a surprise. The photo you see above of Lebron was Tweeted out yesterday. And now for some comparison, here is Lebron when he was on the Miami Heat.
The “How,” should be pretty easy to explain. Experts are pointing to the fact that he’s been on a “paleo” diet (i.e. no carbs and only meats/nuts) as his ex-teammate Ray Allen did last year. Combine that with a great exercise and the metabolism of a world-class athlete and you’re looking at a drop in 20 lbs or so.
The “Why” is what’s got us hung up, though. Someone in our office hypothesized it’s an attempt to keep his knees in shape (a avoiding a Dwayne Wade scenario). Other experts are actually saying it’s because he was self-concious about his weight last year.
For the record, HGH testing just started in the NBA last year, and it stands to reason that the last person that the NBA would test in the initial phase would be Lebron Jame$$$. Maybe this year things are going to get a little more stringent.
