Texas State proved once again that they deserve to be listed on our “20 Most Underrated Party Schools of 2014” list after over 2K students showed up for a pool party after the hashtag #TXSummerBash went viral.
Police were forced to shut the party down, but not before the place became packed with students (and probably a few San Marcos residents) who were looking to blow off some summer steam.
The best part, besides the fact that people had a really good time, is that the party took place at a random apartment complex that was trying its best to have a big party. The housing manager of The Retreat–the student residence where #TXSummerBash too place–hired the marketing firm Endless Entertainment to get surround the party with some hype. It was only until a day or two before the party was scheduled to occur did they realize they might have bitten off more than they could chew.
But all’s well that ends well. No one was hurt and the manager of The Retreat is only facing a $1,400 fine. We’re guessing that a lot more people are going to want to live at The Retreat this coming fall.
