Today ESPN released the first of eight, country-specific posters made for the World Cup. Cristiano Siqueira, a well-known Brazilian artist and graphic designer, created these posters for ESPN to use throughout their coverage of the World Cup. Which reminds us, THE WORLD CUP IS IN 20 DAYS!
As if the entire planet wasn’t excited enough about the world’s biggest sporting event, here’s some pretty fantastic imagery to get you pumped. Below you’ll find the first of eight countries’ posters: Algeria, Colombia, Ghana (boooooo), Greece, Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland, Uruguay. More will be released tomorrow here.
BTW, how crappy is it if you’re Russian? Russia is the one exception I have with these posters. No way is an image of your goalie going to get you hyped. When they release the US Men’s National Team, I’m hoping to God that it’s not just of Tim Howard.
