It was supposed to be Dustin Pedroia bobblehead night on Wednesday at Fenway Park–but with the Boston Red Sox rained out, many fans didn’t think they would get one. However, one former player got his hands on one during Thursday’s makeup game. Oakland Athletics outfielder Josh Reddick, who was in town for Oakland’s series against Boston this weekend, posted (via his Twitter account) a picture of himself and the rare artifact.
The fans got their bobbleheads, too, but it was ironic that Reddick was there in the ballpark to get one of his own. Reddick said that he will add it to his man cave. Of course, it’s always good to see other players showing up at the ballpark on their day off, whether they’re scouting a team or just enjoying the day.
And don’t forget thta Reddick played for the Red Sox from 2009-2011 before being traded to Oakland. But maybe Reddick can get back to focusing on his job now instead of fooling around with Pedroia.
