It’s a big day for tennis fans–that being April 23, 2014–as legendary player Daniela Hantuchová turns 31 years old. Yeah, that’s still a pretty young age for a legendary player. Daniela Hantuchová also stands out as a legendary beauty. There aren’t many tennis stars who can always pick up some quick money as a model. In fact, Daniela Hantuchová ranks right up there with Caroline Wozniacki and Maria Sharapova when it comes to beauties worth courting on the tennis court.
Daniela isn’t just some media creation, though. Most guys will become fans just by looking at her, but this fierce Czech has racked up an amazing series of big wins on the tennis court. She shook up the tennis world back in 2002, when Daniela entered the Indian Wells Mastes as a low-ranked contender and won her first tournament against Martina Hingis. Daniela must’ve had a pretty good time there, since she’d go on to win five more WTA tournaments over the years.
Daniela would go on to become known as kind of an overachiever. She’s a deadly doubles player who’s partnered with Martina Navratilova, and has accumulated close to $10 million in prize money during her career. She’s also a pianist, a surfer, and a golfer.
And, as noted, the fashion industry couldn’t ignore a gal like that on the sports scene. Daniela’s modeling work includes a 2009 appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Daniela has been slowed down recently by a few injuries, but she’s sure looking like a gal with a few more decades of peak performance in her future. For now, though, let’s look at Daniela’s past as one of tennis’ finest forms…
