As the prices of beef, cheese and avocados continue to rise, and are expected to stay high, Chipotle executives have decided it’s time to make us consumers pay for it. According to our friends over at The Huffington Post, the company announced on its first-quarter earnings call this week that prices for all its menu items will go up for the first time in three years. The price increases will go into effect over the next three to six months. I guess they’re confident enough that we love those burritos so much that we’ll continue going to Chipotle–and it’s probably true.
