Saturday Night Live is pretty proud of last night’s commercial for Blue River Dog Food–and we’re just grateful that the show didn’t sell out for more corporate product placement posing as a Saturday Night Live sketch. That could’ve happened, you know.
Anyway, it’s kind of funny to have Cecily Strong and Seth Rogen as a couple whose dog food endorsement goes psycho. We’re still thinking that the show must really be proud of it as a last-minute sketch, since Cecily is really stumbling over the cue cards at the start of this thing. It’s like she’d forgotten where she was for a minute. Anyway, get past the awkward beginning and try to have some fun. The sketch is kind of like a lot of dates that people had last night.
