Ultimate Warrior Obituary

The Ultimate Warrior was one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling during the 1980s–mostly thanks to his epic battles against Hulk Hogan. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on this past Saturday. Then the WWE announced that the Warrior had passed away on April 9th. He had just appeared during Monday Night RAW a day before, so we’re talking about a very sudden conclusion to a life and career that shined very brightly.

Many fans who were around for those matches in the 1980s remember the muscular and built Warrior as a rock ‘n roller who was just as popular as Hogan to many fans. He had left the company for 18 years after a falling out, but had just returned to be an official ambassador. There have been a lot of wrestlers who have died at an early age over the years for various reasons. The cause of death wasn’t mentioned by the WWE, but you can be sure that the media is going to be looking for a sordid angle.

Meanwhile, the fans will be mourning a real loss. There probably won’t be another like Warrior ever again in wrestling. Here he is last Monday night, and the Ultimate Warrior sure seemed invincible…
