If you can’t wait until 2015 to see Marvel’s Avengers in action again in the upcoming Age of Ultron movie–well, there’s a crafty YouTuber who’s sneaking out some raw footage from the filming.
Someone made it to the set of Marvel’s next action epic–that being Avengers: Age of Ultron–with a camera and got some slightly shaky behind-the-scenes footage of director Joss Whedon and company filming scenes for their next big blockbuster. Now it’s up on YouTube so we could all enjoy it. The footage feature some long, lingering shots at some of the heroes and villains we’re bound to encounter in the next movie including some old favorites like Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and some new ones like Elizabeth Olson as the Scarlet Witch with her speedy mutant brother Quicksilver (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson).
There’s also what appears to be some kind of CGI stunt double for Ultron, who will be played (or voiced) by Blacklist star James Spader in the actual movie. So enjoy it while you can, before the studio decides to slap the YouTube channel with a cease and desist order.
Everyone knows there isn’t going to be any shortage of action in this movie, especially considering the extremely high bar that Whedon set with the release of the first Avengers. This just shows they are off to a pretty good start. Judging from all the CGI actors, crumbling set pieces and explosions in this tiny bit of backstage footage, it’s clear we’re going to need to bring a seat belt to the theater next summer because we know it’s going to make us fall out of our chairs.
