Patton Oswalt’s new stand-up comedy special will air at 10 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, April 6th on Comedy Central–and here’s a clip from Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time. You’re looking at Patton on stage at the Spreckels Theater in San Diego, and he’s covering a topic he’s talked about before. Specifically, in previous specials such as My Weakness is Strong and on shows like Conan.

That’s right–this is Patton on the always fun topic of his enduring depression. He’s a world renowned comedian and humorist with acting credits on shows such as Justified and movies like The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Young Adult. That doesn’t mean that Patton can’t still get the brain sadness sometimes.

Hopefully, Comedy Central will air the special at the correct time. The last channel that tried to gift the world with Oswalt’s astute observations really screwed it up big time. Epix had an Oswalt comedy special back in January, but someone goofed big and aired the show much later than expected.

Oswalt was more than a little upset about the mix up. It prompted him to jump on his Twitter account, where he tried to re-Tweet the entire comedy special from memory until Epix could straighten out their little snafu. So wish the guy luck with this one–although we have to figure that a guy like Oswalt is already expecting the worse.
