Apparently Bradley Cooper tops a wish list of names to replace Harrison Ford in the Indiana Jones franchise. The idea of an Indiana Jones 5, of course, has been a topic of conversation for several years, and it was always assumed that Ford would be its star. Bradley Cooper’s hiring would mean a James Bond-style reboot, which would keep the character going for several more decades.
Huffington Post has contacted representatives for Cooper, as well as Indiana Jones producer Frank Marshall, for comment on the casting rumor, but nothing’s been confirmed. We should also keep in mind that Ford suggested just last year that he could still play the role into his old age.
“We’ve seen the character develop and grow over a period of time, and it’s perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie around him where he doesn’t necessarily have to kick as much ass,” Ford, who turns 72 in July, told The Telegraph. Is anyone else shocked that Harrison Ford is in his 70s? Where has all the time gone, Han Solo?
Bradley Cooper’s name certainly has been coming up as of late. He’s been rumored to be in Ant-Man, Green Lantern and the developing bio-pic on Lance Armstrong. We’re especially excited to see him with Beyonce in Clint Eastwood’s A Star Is Born. It’s great to see such a great actor out there constantly working. You’ve come a long way since playing the bully in Wedding Crashers, Bradley.
