See Her Tonight
Marie Avgeropoulos on The 100
(8:00 PM EST, The CW)
To the best of your See Her Tonight column’s recollection, The 100 actually debuted last week, but tonight is supposed to be the airing of the show’s actual pilot, which doesn’t make much sense to us, but the important thing is that you’ll still be seeing Marie Avgeropoulos as one of the show’s regular characters. We can also bring you up to date on the sci-fi plot: Earth has been abandoned by humans in the future, but there are 100 juvenile delinquents who are causing trouble, so they get sent back to Earth as part of a experiment to repopulate the old homeworld.
And since the show is on The CW, you can bet that those intergalactic young hoodlums are all very attractive–which brings us to Marie Avgeropoulos. We’ve been going pretty gaga for Greek beauties like Maria Menounos and Marietta Chrousala lately, and it’s pretty obvious from the name that Ms. Avgeropoulos comes from the same fine stock. She’s also Canadian, which explains how she ended up making her acting debut on a 2009 episode of Supernatural, which is one of those genre shows that film in the Great White North. Marie is from the more rugged terrain there, too, which explains how she did her own stunts for that episode of Supernatural, and has landed plenty of roles that require some real toughness.
We really noticed Marie when she showed up the next year alongside Ali Liebert on the slasher miniseries Harper’s Island. She’s been working steadily ever since, and even made it to the American multiplexes with Seth Rogen in 50/50. Marie got her first stab with The CW in last year’s Cult, and she held her own in that ambitious (but quickly canceled) show. Now we’ve got 100 reasons to tune in to enjoy more of Marie–and these pics to inspire you to tune in tonight…
