A pair of teaser posters are about to be plastered all over your local movie theater for the Farrelly Brothers’ sequel to Dumb and Dumber–and any fan of the first movie will have no problem recognizing them.
The studio just released the preview posters for Dumb and Dumber To that feature the garish blue and orange tuxedos that Harry and Lloyd wore to the big gala ball in Aspen. It’s a hilarious reference and reminder of the first film and we can’t wait to see the other teaser posters they plan to release to get the word out about the new movie. Maybe technology now allows a way to turn “the most annoying sound in the world” into a visual image.
Here’s everything we know about the new Dumb and Dumber movie so far. It’s scheduled to hit theaters sometime during the holiday movie season, most likely on Nov. 14. According to directors and screenwriters Bobby and Peter Farrelly, a teaser trailer is supposed to be released very soon. Bobby Farrelly didn’t divulge much of the plot in an AMA interview on Reddit except that it will involve someone needed a kidney transplant (perhaps that’s what’s in the brown paper covered box that Harry is holding?).
We’re also promised a couple of interesting celebrity cameos and maybe even a return of the famed Sheepdog Van that became such an iconic sight in the first film. Oh, and Harry and Lloyd will be in it and they’ll do a lot of dumb stuff because they’re dumb and stuff. We couldn’t confirm the last one, but we feel pretty solid about it.
