We don’t know the secret to Jack Reynor’s success, but the Irish actor has had a crazy past few months. He was a virtual unknown when Jack finally made it to the American multiplexes last year in the Vince Vaughn comedy Delivery Man. Now we have Jack Reynor landing a major role in the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction–and then gets stuck with the most disappointing character posters of all time.
Seriously, what’s up with that image above? Jack Reynor looks ready to save the world by ordering two cheeseburgers and a Coke with light ice. But wait–“The Rules Have Changed.” We’re thinking that means that it’s no longer Twofer Tuesday, and Jack has to pay full price for both of his cheeseburgers. That’s why he looks so angry.
In contrast, let’s check out Mark Wahlberg in his Transformers poster that came out yesterday…
That’s a little different, right? Transformers: Age of Extinction obviously stars Mark Wahlberg as a regular guy who’s ready to save the world. Either that, or his expression means somebody just said, “Wow, Mark, we just saw Jack Reynor’s character poster, and he looks even cooler than you do in the movie.” And then Mark called up his agent, and now we have Jack Reynor wondering what’s taking so long with his damn cheeseburgers.
Anyway, no major clues here of the mayhem to come in Transformers: Age of Extinction. All we know so far is that we’re supposed to get Dinobots, which are Transformers who can disguise themselves as dinosaurs. That’s a bad idea for a disguise, but the Dinobots originally came to Earth back during the time of the dinosaurs. Don’t make us explain more. We’re already getting as pissed off as Jack Reynor.
